Tom Hayes, church life pastor

Pastor Tom was raised in West Virginia and attended high school at Mount Vernon Academy in Ohio. He attended Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) and met Susan Roberts. They were married soon after graduation. Sadly, Susan passed away, January 2010, after a year-long battle with cancer. Tom and Susan had been married for 34 years. She was an RN and worked PRN with Southern Adventist University’s workplace health assessment program.

Tom’s son, Todd, is married to Aprille Gungl; his son Brad is married to Amanda Breasbois; and his son, Matthew, is married to Tiffany Imsand. In December 2008, Tom became grandfather to Todd and Aprille’s triplets (two boys and a girl) and in January 2010, he became grandfather, again, to Penelope Susan, Matthew and Tiffany’s first child.

Tom has BS in biology, an MA in education and is currently completing an MA in religion. He has worked twenty four years in Christian education. Tom enjoys family, hiking, biking, outdoor activities, computers, digital photography, and mission trips. His greatest love is spending time with family.
