Born in Argentina as the middle child of three girls. Alex is married to the wonderful Kris Harter. They have a daughter Gisela who is six and a son, Niko, who is four. ÂÂÂ
Alex graduated from Highland View Academy and started college at Columbia Union College (now called WAU). She finished her bachelor's at Southern Adventist University in both Theology and Business Administration. She then worked at Atlanta Adventist Academy four years teaching Bible and Business Ed classes. After that she moved to Forest Lake Academy where she was a chaplain and Bible teacher. She met and married her husband in the summer of 2001, and they were both hired at Loma Linda Academy. From there, she was called to be the associate pastor for young adult ministries at Azure Hills Church where she served the six years prior to transitioning to the Collegedale Community Church as the Children and Youth Pastor. She is currently earning her M.A. in Theology from Andrews University.
Pastor Brad was born and raised in Indiana. He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1986 and immediately entered the United States Marine Corps. In the Marine Corps Brad served as an engineer in the electrical supply and distribution areas. After the Marine Corps Brad joined the US Army and served as a medic. After the military service, Brad began to work as an industrial electrician. Brad met Angie in 1993, and they have been happily married ever since. It wouldn’t be until the summer of 1998 that Brad would even hear of a Seventh-day Adventist.
Brad went to study for the ministry at Southern Adventist University and graduated with a BA in Theology December 2002. A little known fact about Brad is his inventiveness that has led to a patent and the creation of his own label of hot sauce.
Brad’s hobbies are weight training, golf, cooking, and most anything geeky.

Pastor Jerry was born and raised in Michigan graduating from Manistique High School in 1972. After high school he spent four years in the U.S. Coast Guard and in the summer of 1977 he began studying for the ministry at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. That fall he met and became engaged to Karen Horner from Indianapolis, Indiana; four months later, they married in February 1978. (In the sermon Parable of the Wedding Garment you can hear how they met.) Karen is an occupational therapist working in the Bradley County Schools in Tennessee.
Their daughter Hannah married Mickey Ortel; their son Jeremy married Laurel Towles and their youngest son Joshua married Amanda Hayes. They have six grandchildren.
Jerry has a BA in theology from Andrews University an MA in religion (homiletics and soul-winning) from Southern Adventist University and completed a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from Andrews University in 2008. His hobbies include reading, golfing, skeetshooting and cheering on the Colts. His greatest delight is spending time with Karen and their family.
Pastor Jim Lewellen, the youngest of five, was born in Mattoon, Illinois and raised in Casey, Illinois where he attended public high school. Jim graduated from Atlantic Union College with three bachelor degrees (Business Administration, Secondary Education and Religion), and has been employed with IBM, Greater New York Academy, Battle Creek Academy, Blue Mountain Academy, and Georgia-Cumberland Academy.
In June 1989 Jim married Natalie Czerkasij, a paralegal from New York. In 1998, while in Michigan, they had their daughter, Shelby, presently a nursing major at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Natalie continues to operate a family business acquired in 2004.
Jim loves tennis, is an avid Chicago Bears fan, and enjoys cooking and baking for the fun of it. His favorite activity is doing anything with his family..
Pastor Stephanie Whitley-Ferguson was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated High School from Georgia Cumberland Academy in 1988, completed her B.S. in Dental Hygiene degree in 1992 from Medical College of Georgia (now GRU) in Augusta, and worked as a dental hygienist until 2011 when she finally answered God’s persistent call to ministry upon her life. In that year she moved to Berrien Springs, MI to attend Andrews University SDA Theological Seminary where she earned her M.Div degree in 2014.
During her time at seminary she served as an Associate Pastor of Highland Ave SDA church in Benton Harbor, MI, as the president of the Women’s Clergy Network of Andrews University, and taught Religion and Health at Andrews Academy.
She’s also earned 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education during an Internship at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Scottish Rite hospital in Atlanta, Georgia in 2009 and had the opportunity to work with the Breath of Life ministry during the “NY-13” evangelism initiative under the leadership of Dr. Carlton Byrd and Dr. Donnieval Walker at the North Bronx SDA church in Bronx, NY, May 2013.
Stephanie loves to write and has authored several published articles and in 2005 published her first book entitled The Sweetness of A Bitter Cup. She also enjoys hiking, camping, good laughs with family and friends, and cozy evenings at home with good movies, and good food.
She’s the mother of two bright teenagers and just recently married Mr. Tony Ferguson, Captain of a Fire Dept. in Atlanta, Ga. Together Stephanie & Tony love football, music, travelling, exploring new places & things, being with family, quiet evenings at home…and pretty much whatever they can do together!

Pastor Tom Hayes was raised in West Virginia and attended high school at Mount Vernon Academy in Ohio. He has five brothers and sisters. He attended Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) and met Susan Roberts. They were married for 34 years and had three sons. Susan lost her battle with cancer on Jan 1, 2010. On May 21, 2011, Pastor Tom married Glenda Carlson, who had also lost her husband to cancer. Glenda has been a dental hygienist for 39 years.
Tom’s son, Todd, is married to Aprille and they have triplet children- Tytus, Siena and Cole; his son Brad is married to Amanda and they have one son, Landon; his son, Matthew, is married to Tiffany and they have two daughters, Penelope Susan and Stella Marie.
Tom's wife, Glenda, has two children, Her son Chris is married to Amber and they have twins girls, Trista and Sadie. Her daughter, Erin, is married to Gavin Carter and they have a son, Preston and daughter, England.
Tom has BS in biology, an MA in education. He has worked twenty four years in Christian education and now four years at CCC. Tom enjoys family, hiking, biking, outdoor activities, computers, digital photography, and mission trips. His greatest love is spending time with Glenda and his family.
Professor of Systematic Theology
Born in England, Norman R. Gulley, Ph.D., has written several adult Sabbath school Bible study guides, numerous scholarly articles and such popular books as Christ Our Refuge. Dr. Gulley is noted for his Christ-centered approach to all doctrine, especially last-day events. A professor of systematic theology, Dr. Gulley teaches at Southern Adventist University. He and his wife, Leona, live in Collegedale, Tennessee.
