Stepping Forward Together

Dear Collegedale Community Church,

It continues to be such a joy and privilege to step into the Lead Pastor role here at CCC! I have been so appreciative of the outpouring of support from many of you over the past few weeks. Your encouragement and prayers mean so much!

As we look ahead, we want to continue to be a church that is growing with God. That means deepening our personal faith, strengthening our spiritual community, and serving those around us with Christ’s love. In order to best serve our purpose, we are making a few adjustments to our pastoral team—aligning our roles to better support the life and growth of our church family.

Strengthening Community Life

Pastor Diego is stepping into the role of Church Life Pastor, where he will focus on helping our church grow through meaningful, Christ-centered relationships.

Pastor Diego shared, “I believe growth happens best when we’re connected—sharing our lives, praying for one another, and studying God’s Word together. Whether it’s equipping our amazing leaders, launching new groups, or helping you find the perfect circle of friends to walk with, my goal is to ensure everyone has a place to belong and be known.”

He will be investing in the development and support of our small group ministries, including Bible study groups, Sabbath Schools, and recreation groups. Our goal is to help every person in our church feel like they have a place to belong—to be known, encouraged, and spiritually nurtured.

But this vision doesn’t stop within our church walls. Pastor Diego will also help mobilize our groups and ministries to serve the broader community—creating opportunities for us to share God’s love and hope with those in our broader community.

Renewed Focus on Administration and Stewardship

Pastor Jim will be transitioning back into the role of Administrative Pastor, bringing leadership and passion to the systems and ministries that support our church’s mission.

He shared, “This transition isn’t about a title. It’s about responsibility. It’s about stewardship. It’s about saying ‘yes’ to where God is leading our church next.”

Pastor Jim is stepping into this role with a deep love for this church and a strong sense of calling. His leadership will help ensure that our ministries have the support they need to thrive.

In addition to administrative responsibilities such as leading out in our church finances, facility, and policies, he will also continue to help guide and build ministries that help our members in times of significant transition in their lives. He will also continue to support our newest members as they get connected with our congregation.

I so greatly appreciate how both Pastor Jim and Pastor Diego have served in the past and how they are eager to continue to give their talents and hearts to this community.

Looking Ahead: Investing in the Next Generation

As part of these changes, we are beginning the process of searching for a Youth and Young Adult Pastor. A search committee made up of student parents, volunteers of student ministries, and church board members will meet with conference officials this coming Wednesday to define what we are looking for within this role. This position will continue to play a vital part in supporting our children’s ministries while also focusing on discipling our teens and collegiate students.

We invite you to join us in prayer during this process—that God would lead us to the right person to continue to invest in the next generation of our church.

Moving Forward Together

As a pastoral team, we are thankful for your continued support, encouragement, and prayers. It is a gift to serve alongside such a committed and faith-filled church family.

We are excited about where God is leading us—and even more excited to walk that journey together.

Let’s continue to grow with God.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Nate
